This coffee is floral and rich with notes of passionfruit and blood orange.

This microlot was produced by the Navarro family in the remote township of Taipiplaya. The family members moved to the area in 2006 and established neighbouring farms. Initially, they had limited agricultural knowledge and their attempts to grow coffee using traditional methods bore little success.

The family managed to significantly transform their circumstances by participating in Sol de la Mañana, a seven-year agricultural training program run by our sourcing partners at Agricafe. The course was a lot of work, but ultimately a resounding success – the Navarro family’s yields have increased by nearly 400%, their plantation is thriving, and their coffee is floral, rich and delicious.

“I’m grateful to be part of [the program] and I’ve given it my all,” says Victor Navarro. “It’s helped the dreams of my parents become a reality, and today we feel safe growing coffee because we know who’ll be buying it before the season even ends.”
