2024 is the seventh consecutive year that we’ve been sharing beautiful coffees from Testi Coffee in Ethiopia. Founded in 2009 by Faysel Yonis, Testi is a family business that does a fantastic job of sourcing coffees from quality-focused growers, paying fair and sustainable prices for those coffees, and processing them with great care.

This lot of coffee was grown by 750 small-scale farmers near the village of Werka in the West Arsi region. At harvest time, the ripe coffee cherries were hand-picked and delivered to Testi’s Aash washing station, where the coffee was then expertly processed using the washed method.

It’s always exciting to have a new-season Ethiopian coffee on offer at Market Lane. Coffees from Ethiopia – the birthplace of coffee – tend to be elegant, distinctive and incredibly delicious. We think Werka is all of those things! We hope you love this sweet and satisfying espresso as much as we do.

We’ve been sharing coffees from Faysel Yonis and Testi Coffee since 2018.

750 small-scale farmers contributed to this lot.

The coffee was wash-processed and carefully dried at Testi’s Aash washing station.

The beans were rested before being milled and exported.
