This incredibly pretty coffee comes from our long-term Ethiopian supply partners, Testi Specialty Coffee. For the past 17 years, Testi has worked closely with small-scale farmers, buying their freshly picked coffee cherries and processing them with great care. This lot comes from one of Testi’s best known washing stations, Ayla. The producers that contributed to it grow coffee near the village of Bombe, in the Bensa district.

Testi is a family-owned and run company, founded in 2009 by Faysel Abdosh. Faysel continues to work in the business alongside his sons, Testi and Faysel, and nephew Yisak, who share Faysel’s deep passion for coffee. Faysel has named many of his washing stations after family members. Ayla is named after his niece; it translates to “grace,” or “moonlight” in Turkish.
