This coffee has notes of cherry, macadamia and vanilla with a toffee finish.

We first met Silvio Leite in 2008 and were blown away by his talent, expertise and dedication. As an educator, mentor and co-founder of the Cup of Excellence program, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the international specialty coffee industry.

For many years, Silvio has helped us source high quality coffees from Brazil. Then, six years ago, he realised a long-held dream of establishing his own coffee farm, and we’ve since been able to offer beautiful coffees from him as well!

This lot is a special one for us at Market Lane. It comes from a plot that Silvio named Sakura (‘cherry blossom’ in Japanese), in honour of his many special Japanese connections in the coffee industry – and specifically his friendship with our long-time Brazil coffee buyer, Toshi, whose daughter’s name is Sakura.

In the cup, this coffee is rich and well balanced, with a cherry sweetness and a lovely toffee finish. We hope you enjoy!

“This farm is the result of a dream,” Silvio told us. “So I can help other producers and serve a great cup of quality.”
