This coffee has notes of mandarin and plum with a brown sugar sweetness.

Rurima is a 15-hectare family-run farm that sits in the foothills of Mount Kenya. This area is known for its red, volcanic soil and cool, temperate climate –conditions that help produce coffees of remarkable clarity and sweetness.

The farm was initially established by Lucy Wanja Ndogo’s father and, since his passing, Lucy has taken the lead, running the estate with her siblings. Today, Rurima functions much like a cooperative, processing not only the family’s cherries but also those of neighbouring coffee growers, extending the farm’s impact across the community.

In the cup, this lot is rich and vibrant with a lingering brown sugar sweetness. We hope you love it as much as we do!

Rurima has a wet mill which enables Lucy and her siblings to process and dry their coffee crop onsite.

The beautiful Rurima homestead is the centre of operations for the siblings, who each own and manage their own shamba.
