This coffee has notes of hazelnut and caramel with a red apple finish.

Producer Aneilson Souza has been working in coffee for two decades, having inherited his 16-hectare farm, Sitio Capão, when he was in his early 20s. When he first took over the property, Aneilson used the knowledge gained from his degree in Agriculture Technology to overhaul the farm’s coffee program and maximise the land’s potential. Today, two-thirds of Sitio Capão is planted with specialty-grade coffee, and Aneilson has won several awards for his output.

When we asked Aneilson what he’d like to tell our community of coffee loves in Australia, he said, ‘I ask each Australian to enjoy a cup of coffee from Capão. This coffee arrived there with love and dedication from a man with a lot of dreams about coffee…Each dose of coffee is brought to you by this dream, which today has a family involved. This dream will continue its story with the new generation – my children – and together we will be stronger.’

This coffee goes through a pulped natural process, meaning that the sticky mucilage is left on during the sun-drying phase to create a fruitier and more complex cup profile.

Sitio Capão is situated in the Chapada Diamantina – ‘Diamond Mountains’ – region, whose unique biodiversity contributes to the exceptional coffee grown here.
