This exquisite microlot was grown and processed by producer Yeimi Medina Oidor in the steep, rugged hills outside the town of Pedregal. Here, on her 2.5-hectare farm, La Mariá, Yeimi carefully grows coffee alongside food crops for her family.
Pedregal’s high elevations and cool climate slow down the ripening of the coffee cherries and extend the fermentation period, resulting in a sweet and nuanced coffee.
This lot from La Mariá is a Chiroso coffee, a variety known for its unique and complex cup profile. Look for a vibrant, tropical acidity balanced with a syrupy mouthfeel, and a lovely floral finish.
