We’ve been working with Leo Henao for many years, in his role as Director of Coffee at Pergamino, our Colombian sourcing partner. Leo is warm, passionate, and deeply knowledgeable; he is an expert in agronomy with a specialisation in coffee fermentation. He is also deeply community-focused and plays a special and supportive role for many of the producers he works with via Pergamino.
Leo, alongside his wife Jenny, is also a coffee producer. The duo acquired their farm in 2024, naming it “El Jardín” after the garden of the Greek philosopher, Epicurus. Epicureanism celebrates the pursuit of simple, thoughtful pleasure – and this special Gesha microlot from El Jardín perfectly captures this spirit and lives up to its name.
It blooms with elegant florals and a pretty, delicate sweetness, while offering notes of nectarine, melon, and jasmine. It is a delight to drink!
