Our Environmental impact score grew by 4.7 points
This was where we improved our score the most. Initiatives included implementing a take-back recycling program for our coffee bags and coffee cups, partnering with a local social entreprise to create a free tote bag repair service, and switching to more renewable sources of energy.
We lifted our Community impact score by 2 points
This score highlights our ongoing commitment to participating in, contributing to, and having a positive impact on the communities we’re connected to through Market Lane –including our producers, our team, our industry peers and partners, and other incredible purpose-led organisations. Our Leadership in Hospitality events, paid volunteer program, continued support of Children’s Ground and ongoing commitment to building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with producers all contributed to this score.
We increased our Governance score by 1.7 points
By working to improving our policies, developing and implementing an impact strategy, and improving our accountability and measurement. B Corp helps provide a framework for this, which we love!
We increased our Workers impact score by 1.3 points
We are constantly striving to provide meaningful employment for our team and creating an environment where our staff can learn, develop and flourish. We put a significant amount of work and thought into how we induct and train our team, solicit and act on feedback, maintain a healthy, safe, inclusive and diverse workplace and maintain high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
What we love about the B Corp certification process is that there is always room for growth. Recertifying every three years holds us accountable to our own high standards, and helps us identify where we can do better: for communities, people and the planet.
Our work does not stop here! Thank you for being part of the journey so far.
