Enjoy both of our coffee teas with this special Coffee Tea Bundle! At Market Lane, we offer two delicious and refreshing teas, both derived from the coffee plant itself. This bundle gives you the opportunity to experience both of these teas, with a price break.
Cascara, meaning ‘skin’ or ‘peel’ in Spanish, is a novel way of using the coffee pulp that’s left over when ripe coffee cherries are hulled, before the beans are washed and dried. The pulp is sun-dried to create the base for this unique Cascara Tea.
This tea is produced in Caranavi, Bolivia, from the coffee cherries of various smallholder farmers who deliver their freshly-picked coffee to the Buena Vista Mill. In the cup, it tastes like fresh plum, white peach, dried apricot, lemon and honey. To brew, we recommend using a plunger or a teapot with a ratio of 5g Cascara to 220ml boiling water. Cascara Tea also tastes great over ice on a
warm day!
Our Coffee Flower Tea is derived from the flowers of java-variety coffee trees grown at La Linda Farm in Caranavi, Bolivia by producer Pedro Rodriguez. The flowers are hand-picked at just the right time, so as not to hinder the production of the coffee cherries. They are then dried on raised beds to preserve their flavour.
This tea was made especially for Market Lane – it is otherwise extremely rare and hard to find. In the cup, it has notes of jasmine, hibiscus, honeysuckle and green tea. To brew, we recommend using a plunger or a teapot at a ratio of 2–3g of Coffee Flower Tea to 220ml 80-degree water. Steep for 2 minutes. This tea also tastes wonderful iced on a hot day!
