The stovetop brewing method is a quick, simple and economical way to brew heavy-bodied, espresso-style coffee at home. Developed by renowned Italian design house, Alessi, the Pulcina Stovetop Coffee Maker is a beautifully designed brewer that combines elegant and timeless form with exceptional function. It’s suitable for use with gas and electric cooktops.
An elegant redesign. Designer and architect Michele de Lucchi has reimagined the classic Italian moka pot, giving it a modern, elegant upgrade and improving the core functional design
Sputter free. De Lucci designed the internal shape of the moka pot’s boiler to ensure the water stops dispensing just before the eruption phase, the precise moment before the coffee can develop a bitter aftertaste. This avoids a messy cooktop and helps preserve the coffee’s flavour and aroma.
A pronounced spout. Named Pulcina for the Italian word for ‘chick’, this stylish moka pot has a V-shaped spout that resembles a baby chicken’s beak. It’s designed to perfectly cut drops when pouring.
