This sweet and creamy microlot is produced by our long-time supply partner, Silvio Leite, in Brazil’s famous Piatã growing region. For many years, Silvio connected us with talented Brazilian producers and their outstanding coffees. Then, in 2019, Silvio established São Benedito farm, and we’re now able to offer beautiful coffees that he’s produced himself!
São Benedito is 30 hectares in size, six of which are planted with coffee. Silvio has hired an all-star team of friends and colleagues to help him run the farm, which he also uses as a ‘model farm’ to educate local producers on best agricultural practices.
We were lucky enough to host Silvio in Australia in March. In a presentation to our team and industry peers, he told us, “I wanted to take risks, to process and improve. And then to open my doors and share my experience...This farm is the result of a dream, so I can help other producers and serve a great cup of quality. This is why I’m in production with my friends.”
