This coffee has notes of toffee apple and yellow peach with rose florals.

This Gesha coffee was produced by three small-scale farmers: Arnulfo Quintero, Yimi Tunubala and Neyid Pillimue. We sourced it through our Colombian supply partners at Pergamino; it was produced as part of their Gesha del Pueblo (or ‘Gesha for the People’) project.

In their years working with farmers, Pergamino have come to realise that many producers have excellent growing conditions and farming practices, but limited access to rarer varieties – like Gesha – which fetch higher prices. Pergamino decided to disrupt the supply chain by giving Gesha saplings to farmers who otherwise couldn’t access them.

And so, the Gesha del Pueblo program was born. Inzá was selected as its first location because Pergamino has strong farmer relationships there, and because the area has superb growing conditions, including rich, volcanic soil, cool overnight temperatures and high rainfall.

We’re thrilled to be supporting Pergamino’s wonderful initiative, and to have the opportunity to roast and share this delicate and pretty Gesha coffee. We hope you enjoy!
