This coffee comes from Fazenda Progresso in Brazil’s Chapada Diamantina region. The Borré family has owned this farm since 1984 and they have focused on specialty coffee production since 2005.
What we learnt when we first visited the Borré family is that when they decide to commit to something, they do it to the highest possible standard! From the start, they have sought advice from industry experts and invested heavily in infrastructure, and they’re always willing to try new things to improve the (already high) quality of their coffee.
This approach can be attributed to the young and talented Fabiano Borré, who oversees coffee production on the farm. “I love to create and coffee gives me a chance to innovate every day,” he told us. “We might develop a new project, process or product, or try to conduct our operation in a different way, based on the climate, environment and people involved. That’s why I love my job!”
The delicious Marimbus Espresso is a long-time favourite at Market Lane. We’ve been working with Fabiano and Progresso since 2015, and we look forward to sharing their coffees for many years to come.
