This gorgeous brass trivet, made in Japan, adds functional beauty to the kitchen bench. It’s perfect for resting hot items like a kettle or a jug of freshly brewed coffee (as well as non-coffee-related kitchen items)! The Futagami trivet is designed by Oji Masanori, who is well-known for his marriage of contemporary Japanese design and traditional crafts. It is made by Futagami, a foundry in Takaoka (Toyama Prefecture) that has been crafting beautiful brass objects in the Buddhist tradition since 1897. The brass in this trivet will slowly oxidise and change colour over many years, gaining added beauty and character with time.
