Meet: Ricardo Zelaya of Santa Clara
The Santa Clara Scholarship Fund
The Zelaya family founded the Santa Clara Scholarship Program in 2011 to help support their farm workers children’s education. Many children in Guatemala are forced to stop going to school early because school fees, and associated costs like school uniforms, are unaffordable for their families. We made our first contribution to the fund in 2014, and have been contributing every year since.
Market Lane Coffee x Scarf
We are proud to be a supporter of Scarf, an organisation that helps young people get a foot in the hospitality door. We've been working with Scarf since 2016, and truly believe in their mission to create an inclusive and supportive environment for young people to gain hospitality knowledge, skills and experience.
Meet: Ceramicist Elnaz Nourizadeh
Each of Elnaz’s cups is individually hand thrown and painted, and every one is completely unique and one-of-a-kind. We love the idea of durable, reusable take-away cups and we wanted to offer an option that doesn’t interfere with the taste of the delicious coffee inside, and that is beautiful to look at as you walk down the street, take sips in the car or tram, or enjoy your coffee at your desk.
