This coffee has notes of almond and pear with a lingering cocoa finish.

Juana Mamani is a first-generation coffee producer. She bought her farm when she was 16 years old and, in her early 20s, she went on to win an impressive second place in the Cup of Excellence competition. Today, Juana owns two farms in Caranavi, and we’ve been proud to offer her coffee since 2014.

When Juana was starting out, she sold her coffee on the local market for low prices. Over the last decade, however, she has focused on producing specialty coffee, an endeavour that’s been made possible through her involvement in the Sol de la Mañana training program. Through Sol de la Mañana, Juana learned how to cultivate a nursery, maintain proper plant care, and selectively pick her cherries. The positive impact on her yield and coffee quality has been profound, and she now sells her coffee to quality-focused roasters at sustainable prices.

The cherries for this lot were hand-picked when ripe and then delivered to the Buena Vista Mill for wash-processing. The result of all this care and hard work is a coffee that’s sweet, clean and elegant in the cup.

We’ve been proudly sharing Juana Mamani’s beautiful coffees since 2014.
