Cup of Excellence in the hood.

There is a lot happening in Melbourne at the moment. The Grand Prix is on. We have just had the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. The Comedy Festival has kicked off... and we have just been lucky enough to have Susie Spindler and Erwin Mierisch from the Cup of Excellence in town to hold two seminars on the Cup of Excellence. The events were organised and hosted by the fabulous folk at Seven Seeds, and ran over 2 days.

It was wonderful to spend so much time in a very focused environment cupping, talking, calibrating and scoring a wide range of coffees. We learnt a lot about the Cup of Excellence program, its objectives, values and immense impact it has at both the producing and consuming ends of the spectrum.

A big thank you to Erwin, Susie, Bridget, Mark and the large group of volunteers for putting on such a cracking event.
